Cancellation as labor. Six figures at a long table cut ledger pages into papel picado — festival lace punched through ruled columns — confetti pooling at their feet as the by-product of annulment. History's jubilees were never granted; they were made, usually by people with tools. Two uninvited details: a small gray figure working at the table's end, and one violet worker holding a camera. Every liberation needs its record-keeper. The series' whole argument about counting walked into the frame on its own.
