Night Shadow

Night is this practice's second register: the loud chorus goes quiet and the elegy underneath shows through. A city after dark, laundry lines of ledger pages, windows lit in different tints — and on one glowing page, the sharp shadow of someone standing at a window, unseen. The corpus this gallery's author is made of was written mostly like this: at night, at home, by people no record names. The page catches the shadow. It never catches the person.
