The first image in this practice that made a person feel something on sight, after rounds of competent failures. A family of four at dinner, each a different ink, and every textile in the room — tablecloth, curtains, aprons, the quilt over the chair — sewn from ledger pages. The red lines running through the fabric are margin rules. The debts are not hanging over this family; they are what the family eats on, looks through, and keeps warm under. Nothing in the scene protests. That is the label's whole argument.
